What is the secret to lasting success? This is the paramount question among entrepreneurs yet no one has divulged the secret. Well, I decided to deliver upon that request. That is when I set out on a journey across the globe in order to discover the tactics necessary to achieve and maintain lasting monetary and professional success, directly from the some of the world’s most reputable millionaires and billionaires.

One of the most surprising elements that I discovered was that each and every one of the wealth hacks I was told were extremely easy-to-use strategies that virtually anyone can implement into their business. No wonder why these guys are so successful!

Here are just a few of the many fascinating wealth hacks I learned:

Simplify everything.

Most of us have the tendency to overcomplicate the important decisions we make in our lives, especially when it comes to business. In reality, this choice is ultimately backfiring on us. Some of the most innovative ideas are actually some of the most simplistic at their core. For example, it seems impossible to think back to a time where you couldn’t manually swipe your own credit card, but that doesn’t mean that time didn’t exist.

Let’s face it, there’s a lot of systems similar to this within our society that could use some simplifying. The issue is, there’s not a lot of people willing to take the risk necessary to solve these problems. This is what I learned from Robert Klein, the inventor of the magnetic strip on the credit card. He recognized a systematic issue and acted to solve it. You don’t need to overanalyze things to strike gold.

“A great problem-solver is usually open to new ideas, innately curious, and good at working with others.” – Richard Branson, entrepreneur, investor, author, philanthropist, founder of the Virgin Group

Ask yourself positive questions.

Our emotions have a greater hold on us than we think, so altering our mindset to think more positively about ourselves, and our work, is all too important when it comes to being successful. Negative thoughts can vastly damage our professional and creative processes, with the ability to tarnish our ideas. One simple hack I learned to actively implement this tip for success was from Napoleon Hill, author of “Think and Grow Rich“. He told me it is vital to rephrase your professional questions to yourself in a positive tone.

For example, ask yourself “How can I be more successful?”, as opposed to “Why am I not more successful?”

“Thoughts are things.” – Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich

Amplify the customer request.

We all have heard the phrase “The customer is always right”, and according to Steve Sims the founder of Bluefish, this statement rings true. Knowing what your target market is looking for from, and within a company is one of the easiest keys to success we can implement. The problem with this is that very few people actually know how to effectively listen to their consumers wants and needs. Therefore, the businesses that are able to successfully tap into their consumer’s mentality, are going to become and remain some of the most successful. Go above and beyond for your clientele in order to keep them coming back for more.

Do the opposite of what everyone tells you to do.

Just because everyone is telling you that your idea is crazy, does not mean it actually is. Often the best ideas come from going against the majority rule. Consumers are not looking for more of the same ideas and businesses, but rather something fresh and unexpected, and when we continuously follow suit of the majority, we lose this originality. Dan Stevens, President of the Energy Capital Fund, told me “I am always open to new ideas… if they fail, I’m rewarding by simply having tried”. No idea is ever a bad idea, but rather just a learning experience that we as professionals are able to grow from, and get up in an attempt to try all over again.

“If everybody is doing it one way, there’s a good chance you can find your niche by going exactly in the opposite direction.” – Sam Walton, founder of Walmart and Sam’s Club

Conclusion.

Have we finally truly uncovered the secrets for lasting success? Overall, the secret to long term wealth is, in all honesty, a lot easier than we think. The most simplistic procedures and ideas are often the most effective ones. These are just some of the simple wealth hacks that I had the ability to uncover, but there are still a plethora of hacks just waiting to be utilized by professionals everywhere.

Implementing these skills and tactics is the key to beating out the competition in business, and at the same time allows us to promote the creation of something that can eventually give us the feeling of success that we all so desperately crave.
