Thanks to the evolution of technology and the now ubiquitous social media, the world of recruitment in recent years has evolved so much so that the first impression that a candidate makes is not in the resume that’s sent to a potential hirer, but made on the Internet.

Do you know, for example, that 94% of recruiters use or plan to use social media for recruiting? Of those, 9 in 10 are likely to look at a candidate’s social profiles before meeting them in person – and often candidates will not be brought forward to interview if their profiles feature profanity, alcohol and drug references, or even grammatical errors.
