Do you have 32 hours to spare? If you do – and would like to showcase your coding chops to the world – you may want to participating in Hackatron Asia Singapore, and one and a half day hackathon that will bring brands, technologies and developers together to see what technological magic can ensue.
Held on 6-7 December, the event will feature various challenges fielded by companies with real technology offerings (APIs and SDKs) for developers to hack on, with mentors roving on-site to provide technology and platform guidance. Prizes are being offered for winners of each individual challenge, such as gadgets, cash, internship opportunities and even potentially a job offer. The top prize includes US$5,000, plus full access tickets to all three sell-out Startup Asia conferences in Singapore, Tokyo and Jakarta in 2015.
While the hackathon is ongoing, there will be a parallel series of talks that are open to the public, consisting of technology workshops as well as “show & tell sessions” by developer groups or individuals with specific expertise.
Hackatron Asia Singapore 2014 will take place on Saturday to Sunday, 6-7 December 2014, and will be held at Le Danz, 222 Queen Street, #01-01/02, Singapore 188550.
