Use the powerful tool of visualization to help you imagine with your minds-eye what your dreams and goals are… and then think about it all the time. Keep it front of mind.

Take time everyday to do this find a quite space were you can be alone to dream and imagine everything you want for your life (maybe take out your personal journal and do a little doodling for some creative self-expression).

Focus on the dream becoming a reality. Dare to dream! Fantasize on it. This is what I did throughout my childhood. I would go into my thought, possibilities and mind-world to then dream about a great life. Use that incredible imagination that you have to create your future! Once you know what you want to do, then you can focus on the details on how to make it happen!

An example where this worked exceptionally well for me would be when I was out of high school. I knew that I wanted to move to L.A. and I had a dream to be a model but I had to really focus on what steps I needed to take to make that happen.

Of course, that meant working, saving money, and staying on my course, so that I could really give myself a chance. It took time and I had to work at jobs that I really did not like (not unlike the rest of the world). However, when I became frustrated, I would think about my goal and remind myself why I had to stay on track. I had days that I wanted to quit. We all do. It is normal, so do not beat yourself up –  just remember that you will have good days and bad days.

Life is a game of trade-offs,  of give and takes. You want one thing, but in order to get it, you have to give up something else (you will discover which goals are really important to you when this happens – just be aware and everything will work out).

When you have a bad day, allow yourself to have that bad day. Not wallowing in it, but telling yourself, affirming, that in the morning it will be great and you will wake up renewed and excited about your path. Thinking about what you want, combined with the words you use and writing out your goals, will change your life. It works, trust me on that. Just look at my life.

As you can see,  there are many ways in which you can realize your goals successfully.  All of the tools already exist within you.  You simply need to discover, uncover and make the most of them. You need to have the courage to use them powerfully and differently.

Remember, you’re the only one who can make or break your success – begin with the end in mind, trust your instincts and go for it!

Furthermore, motivation and confidence are two of the most essential “thinking like a winner” basics, that can also really help your goals and you achieving success. They can easily be enforced through an extremely simple concept known as positive self-talk.

Positive self-talk is a tremendously powerful utility you can rely on to help you out.  It is used by many people and works no matter what the situation, regardless of how good or bad it seems.  All you have to do is talk to and tell yourself why things are not as bad as they appear, and inform yourself how you plan to and will fix things.

So many times, we self-sabotage ourselves. Do not be afraid of the power that you have to be great. I know that it can be scary to have success fall into your life this easily, because of fear, but self-sabotage does happen a lot, tripping up many along the way. However, by using positive self talk, you will recognize whether or not you are sabotaging your own progress.

If you are NOT yet using positive self-talk, those people who are using it have a substantial advantage over you. Only you can change this fact. These are the people who are taking advantage of a powerful universal reality: the spoken word.

Every successful person in the world knows this, and therefore incorporates positive self-speak, enabling inner-monologue, into his or her ambitions in some form or another, because they know it works!

Never underestimate the power you have over your own fate.  You are in control of your own future.  Stays focused, and keep the end in mind as you take action, and you will get there.
