Since its founding by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1997, Google has grown from a simple search engine to the huge Internet giant it is today.
In fact, Google owns so many web assets that many would argue the company is on the path to dominating the online world, challenged only by the might – and popularity – of Facebook. Think of it: there’s YouTube, AdMob, Gmail, Google Places, Google Panda, Android and more recently even Motorola Mobility, critics are claiming its beginning to have an unfair choke-hold – a monopoly, if you will – on the modern world and our online future.
